Asthma Attack Prevention
One of the medications that you can take as a preventive measure against asthma is the systemic corticosteroids. This drug is taken to help the suppression of the airways that will help increase the natural defenses of the human system, which is generally the immune system. This is only recommended in cases where the patient in undergoing severe attacks of asthma. It is always suggested that bronchodilators and anti-inflammatory medications should be take first before resorting to use this treatment drug.
These drugs are noted to be quite effective in developing the body and combat allergies. Corticosteroids are normal hormones created by the human body, which increase the immune system’s ability to work against allergic reactions to certain substances. In the United States, there are some drugs that will have a mixture of steroids with bronchodilators. Mixtures such as fluticasone and salmeterol, and budesonide and formoterol are sold under different brands names but will have a good effect on thise diagnosed with asthma.
Markers for Asthma Predisposition
There are several hundred people who are now diagnosed with asthma. Genetics are often one of the reasons.
